Sebastian Announces Plan for Relocation

It was announced today that Owner/GM Ken Argot will be moving the Sebastian Sharks to Atlanta starting the 2018 season.

"I had to 'google' the city of Sebastian when I bought the team. I didn't even know where it was." said Argot during today's press conference. Sebastian is a Coastal Atlantic town in Florida, nestled between Daytona and Melbourne. "Don't get me wrong," Argot continued, "I love Florida, but it was just too difficult to draw a crowd there. And I don't blame them. I'd be at the beach too!"

Argot is moving the team north to the ATL, Argot's current home. "The commute was getting difficult. At times I felt a bit out of touch with our team. I probably should have made some more moves this year and our press coverage has been pretty weak. Hopefully, being closer will help. I'm looking forward to watching every game this year.

During today's press conference, current Sharks posed for pictures in the new Atlanta Flames uniforms that will be worn next season.

Olivier and Kindersley Pitch in at Local Homeless Shelter

Wednesday, May 17th, 2017 It is always good to see local athletes use their popularity and status for the good of the community. Today, Tom Olivier and Pat Kindersley pitched in at local homeless shelter, serving meals for hundreds of underprivileged citizens of New Orleans. "It's the least we can do", added Olivier. "I don't do it because I'm a member of the Voodoo, I do it because I care about the community. There's plenty of women and young children among these people, and giving them a hot meal uplifts me as well. Seeing the looks of appreciation on their faces makes it all worth it."

Gibson 5-5 Against Cigar City:
April 27, 2017

It was a hits blitz for Dave Gibson at Cigar City Grounds. The Buenos Aires Admirals third baseman tore into Cigar City for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace the Admirals to a 7-3 victory and wrote his name into the baseball record book. The manager for the Concoctors bemoaned his pitching, saying, "We fell behind and weren't locating well. Once you get behind in the count, you have to make real good pitches, rather than good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today." He added, "Not to take anything away from Gibson, but bad location was the story of the ballgame. That's why we lost the game." Dave Gibson singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off John Godwin in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 9th.

In his season totals, Gibson has 2 home runs, .413 BA, .460 OBP, 9 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has played in 25 games.
